Even as the rain poured into North Carolina State University's Carter-Finely Stadium, Beyonce continued performing more than half of her set.

But the weather posed too much of a threat and the show stopped. Fans were asked to take shelter at North Carolina State's practice facility.

Fans in ponchos and towels -- umbrellas were not allowed in the stadium -- expressed concern about the show continuing and tweeted the evacuation.

Twitter feeds from the stadium and for local weather reports assured fans that the show would continue as the storms moved out of the area.

Fans were assured that Beyonce would return to finish her show.

Stadium officials hope to get fans back in the stadium at 10:50 p.m. and welcome Beyonce back on stage by 11:20 p.m.

By 10:50 p.m., fans began filing back into the stadium.
