Star 94 gets a Morning Mess

Star 94 introduces the trio who replaced Steve and Vikki, Marc "Marco" Orem, Shannon Murphy and Superphat Mikey.

Meet Star 94's Morning Mess: Marc "Marco" Orem, Shannon Murphy and Superphat Mikey.

The young trio -- they are all in their 20s or 30s -- replace Steve McCoy and Vikki Locke, who helmed Star 94's mornings for 17 years until early November.

The three came together when Orem's partner was fired. The resulting show aired for three years in Indianapolis, but it came to an end when the station changed formats.

Like most morning shows, Marco enjoys pulling pranks, but he doesn't shy away from his errors, such as a DUI arrest. He discussed it on air and took the opportunity to name other offenders.

Shannon Murphy, the pop culture junkie, does the entertainment report, "Hollywood Dirty at the 30s." Considering the show's format, the most interesting thing about the brunette might be that she dates the lead singer of Christian rock band.

Superphat Mikey draws comparisons to the late Chris Farley, not only for his size (he's 270 pounds) but because he will do anything for a laugh.
