One of the highlights of Sunday night’s Golden Globe Awards was Sylvester Stallone’s win.
Stallone won Best Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture for his role in "Creed," the Rocky reboot in which Rocky Balboa serves as mentor and trainer to Apollo Creed's son, played by Michael B. Jordan.
And when his name was announced, the crowd jumped to its feet and applauded as a surprised Stallone stood and headed to the stage. It was his first Golden Globe win. His nomination for "Creed" bookends his first Golden Globe nomination in 1977 for the original film, "Rocky."
He may have had one of the best lines of the night:
"I want to thank my imaginary friend Rocky Balboa for being the best friend I ever had."
