It’s hard to remember what award shows were like before stage-crashers became so common.
Just seconds into an acceptance speech for the favorite daytime TV hosting team People’s Choice Award, the women of “The Talk” found themselves sharing the stage with a stranger.
“I think we think of ourselves as kind of the oddballs of TV,” Sara Gilbert said just before a man snagged the microphone from her.
Sharon Osbourne quickly sprang into action, pushing the man and then kicking him twice as he got off stage.
“That ain’t happening up here,” Sheryl Underwood said after grabbing the mic back. “You ain’t going to pull no Steve Harvey up in here.”
She handed the mic back to Gilbert, who picked up where she left off.
“Anyway, we just want to say we don’t see any division between us and you,” she said. “We feel you are so much a part of our show … We are tremendously grateful, thank you so much.”
