Marvel universe has been buzzing about it for months, and today marks the grandiose arrival of “Avengers: Endgame.”

The Atlanta-filmed Marvel installment is reportedly playing at 4,600 movie theaters to kick off its premiere weekend. Though 21 films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe have come before it, the Avengers concluding stand against Thanos has sparked a record-breaking response.

According to Screen Rant, in the first week of ticket sales, "Endgame" sold five times as many tickets as the blockbuster "Infinity War" on Fandango. According to the report from the movie and culture site, the films will likely debut with a record-shattering all-time domestic and worldwide weekend.

So, with much anticipation, comes great responsibility for the Avengers flick to deliver. According to Twitterdom, “Endgame” does not disappoint.

Theaters across the country will stay open round-the-clock to feed the appetite of those who must find out whether Tony Stark or Captain Marvel will expire in the conquest of Thanos. The wait was more than some could bear, with many noting making it through hasn’t been easy.

Just being on Twitter Thursday was a challenge for many of the fans planning to watch later this weekend. Several reported their fear of seeing spoilers.

In 2022, Georgia Power projected its winter peak electricity demand would grow by about 400 megawatts by 2031. Since then, Georgia has experienced a boom of data centers, which require a large load of electricty to run, and Georgia Power's recent forecast shows peak demand growing by 20 times the 400-megawatt estimate from just three years ago.
