The SkyView Atlanta Ferris wheel opened to the public after a ceremonial ribbon cutting on July 16, 2013, near Centennial Park in downtown Atlanta.

Brian Harris enjoys the views of downtown Atlanta as he rides the new SkyView Atlanta Ferris wheel on July 16, 2013. The city's newest attraction features 42 gondolas that can seat six visitors each, taking the 15-minute ride rotating four times around the 200 foot tall wheel.

A VIP gondola has Ferrari red leather seats, a TV and a champagne bucket, although the attraction can't serve alcohol until they get their liquor license.
