ShoWest lights up Vegas with stars

Some of Hollywood's hottest stars, such as Sarah Jessica Parker, Anne Hathaway and Emile Hirch, were honored at the ShoWest Awards.

Hathaway seemed a little stunned that she had been named female star of the year.

Seth Rogen was honored as comedy star of the year. For those who couldn't get enough of Rogen in "Knocked Up" and "Superbad," he has four movies coming out this year.

Christopher Nolan won the director of the year award. Nolan will release "The Dark Knight," the much anticipated sequel to "Batman Begins," on July 18.

Sarah Jessica Parker shows off her long, luxurious locks -- or is it just a moment in which she wanted to pull out her hair? -- before receiving the Vanguard award. The fashion icon can be seen in the "Sex and the City" movie in May.

All of those years on "Sex and the City" didn't teach SJP to take into account the length of your dress though.

Brendan Fraser speaks after receiving the distinguished decade of achievement in film award. In the past 10 years, the diverse actor has been cast in blockbuster action films such as "The Mummy," critically acclaimed dramas such as "Gods and Monsters" and "Crash," and comedies such as "Blast from the Past."

Laurence Fishburne strikes a serious pose, something co-stars Kate Bosworth and Jim Sturgess find difficult. The three make up quite an ensemble, which is why they took home the ensemble award for "21," which arrives in theaters March 28.

Emile Hirsch took home a trophy for male star of tomorrow. His role in "Into the Wild" was a favorite among critics and landed him several best actor nominations.

Breslin and Foster have something in common: both received Academy Award nominations for best supporting actress before age 15. Breslin got hers for "Little Miss Sunshine" and Foster for "Taxi Driver."

Robert Downey Jr. who is looking just a little like Ringo Starr these days, wants everyone to stop. But is it in the name of love or to check out his trophy for male star of the year? He probably just wants everyone to see "Iron Man" when it is released in May.

Meanwhile, he'll channel John Travolta and do a few dance moves from "Saturday Night Fever." Too bad he doesn't have the white suit.
