The trailer for the latest rock legend biopic has been released. This time Elton John gets the biographic treatment in the upcoming film “Rocketman.”

Taron Egerton put on the platform shoes, the crazy glasses and the costumes that made John the iconic songwriter who he is as the movie, which is scheduled for release in summer 2019, follows his path as he releases "Honky Chateau" in 1972, NME reported.

But as the trailer shows, John’s life wasn’t all flamboyant stage antics, it also gives a glimpse into John’s childhood and his battles with alcohol.

The movie is being promoted as a "fantasy musical," instead of a normal biopic, the Telegraph reported.

"It's actually his songs used to express important beats in his life at emotional moments," Egerton told the Telegraph. "He's not the only character that sings. It's going to be fun."

Egerton starred as Eggsy in the “Kingsman” films. John appeared in the sequel “Kingsman: The Golden Circle” as himself.

Egerton is joined by Jamie Bell as John’s lyricist Bernie Taupin and Bryce Dallas Howard as John’s mother, Sheila Eileen.

John and his husband David Furnish are producing the film through their company Rocket Pictures, the Telegraph reported.
