The Local Club - turkey, ham, bacon swiss cheese, topped with lettuce, tomato and the No. 7 sauce with a side of tater tots at Local 7 in Tucker. The Main Street bar and restaurant is the newest concept from the group behind Matador Cantina in Oakhurst and Glenwood Park. But instead of Tex-Mex and tequila, it's pub grub and beer.

Buttermilk fried chicken with creamed potatoes, Brussels sprouts leaves and cracked pepper gravy at Southern Art and Bourbon Bar in Buckhead. After a 10-year stint as Oprah Winfrey's personal chef, Art Smith opened restaurants in Chicag, Washington, D.C. and California. His newest spot features new takes on Southern classics like a honey-lacquered half-duck with duck fat-basted root vegetables.

Chinese Sausage and Cilantro Rice Crepes served with soy and chili sauces at EeRecipe Rice Crepes House in Duluth. This spot has been quietly creating a buzz among Atlanta foodies on the hunt for authentic and rare Asian delicacies.

Burrito with pinto beans, rice, jack cheese, salsa fresca, potato and green chili at Tomatillos in East Atlanta Village. Eric and Margaret Kaiser, who own Grant Central Pizza pay homage to Tortillas -- Atlanta's original and much beloved rock n' roll burrito joint on Ponce de Leon Avenue -- with a menu of burritos, soft tacos and quesadillas designed to elicit an immediate sense of Tortillas deja vu.

The Pittsburgh Club- Capicola, provolone cheese, fries, slaw and tomato on fresh Italian bread at Roswell Tap in Roswell. The bar food spot has the convivial feel of a neighborhood hangout, except the neighborhood could be somewhere in Buffalo, Chicago or Pittsburgh, rather than Roswell.

Red haute dog with brisket chili, pepper jack foam and Vidalia onion, served with a side of waffle fries and 21st Amendment 'Brew Free or Die' IPA beer at HD1 in Poncey Highland. the latest high/low concept from "Top Chef" winner Richard Blais and Atlanta restaurateur Barry Mills, is ostensibly a haute hot dog joint. The sassy gastro menu and futuristic look combine to create quite a happening scene.

Arugula salad with sundried tomatoes, dried cranberries, candied walnuts, red onions, aged asiago cheese and cranberry vinaigrette; braised short ribs on polenta; and blackened tuna with field greens and lemon wasabi aioli at Spice Brick Over Kitchen in Alpharetta. From the restaurant group behind Sage Woodfire Tavern in Alpharetta and Dunwoody, this spot leans toward drinking and entertainment as much a dining.

Original Five Napkin Burger made with 10 oz. of ground beef, gruyere cheese, caramelized onions, rosemary aioli on a white roll with a side of fries at Five Napkin Burger in Atlanta. Located in the former Nickiemoto space at the corner of Piedmont Avenue and 10th Street, this spot offers heavy-duty burgers plus a beer list with more than 80 choices.

Fried pastured organic chicken, fingerling potato salad and napa slaw at Table & Main in Roswell. A Southern tavern featuring a full bar and classics-with-a-twist like pulled pork barbecue and Napa cabbage slaw tucked into chive crepe pockets and Gulf shrimp and gouda grits topped with bacon-tomato gravy.

Squash, melon, goat and ricotta cheeses, pumpkin seeds and aged balsamic vinegar at Cakes & Ale in Decatur. A larger version of the original's modest Ponce storefront. Longtime devotees may need a minute to adjust to the new space, but Allin's ingredient-driven cooking will be immediately recognizable.

Chicken and Dumplings -- with crispy skin chicken, baby carrots, cipollini onions, potato dumplings and herbed chicken veloute -- at Chicken and the Egg in Marietta. Judging from the crowds coming to the new West Cobb restaurant, the melding of familiar American food and an upscale setting has filled a neighborhood dining void.

Roasted Alaskan Halibut Genovese with roasted baby yukon potatoes, baby carrots, pignoli and lemon verbena basil butter at Cibo E Beve in Sandy Springs. The latest addition to the 101 Concepts group of restaurants mixes Italian-inspired cooking with local and seasonal ingredients and a vibrant bar scene.

Chicken biryani and a side of palak paneer at Paradise Biryani Pointe in Alpharetta. A fast-casual Indian restaurant where the spicy aromas of traditional cooking fill the air but the ambiance is all about the present.

Fried chicken, mac n' cheese, collards and a biscuit at LeRoy's Fried Chicken in Atlanta. The Bookhouse's Julia LeRoy partnered with the owners of Fellini's Pizza and LaFonda Latina to open the take-away-only stand focused on natural chicken fried in lard.

A hot dog topped with hot sauce, onion, dill pickle and horseradish mustard and a hot dog topped with hot sauce and Vidalia onion slaw with a side of Georgia sweet potato fries with maple glaze at Barkers Red Hots in Roswell. Barkers Roswell (there's another location in Marietta) features several new menu items, but signature items still include the "original" Red Hot, beef on weck sandwich and sweet onion rings.
