Reports: Wrestling legend 'Rowdy' Roddy Piper dead at 61

TMZ is reporting that wrestling legend Roddy Piper has died. He was 61.

Variety confirmed the news via Piper's agent.

Piper, born Roderick George Toombs, was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma in 2006 but in 2014 he said he was cancer-free, according to TMZ.

It is being reported that Piper died from cardiac arrest in his sleep.

Piper was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame  in 2005.

He is survived by wife Kitty and four children.
