Jon Stewart's last episode of "The Daily Show" was Aug. 6. He's already heading back to TV, according to HBO.

Stewart has been locked into a four-year production contract, saying he is expected to make short-form content for HBO NOW, HBO GO and other platforms.

The first project will involve more of Stewart's trademark skewering of current events, paired with graphics company OTOY Inc. The goal is to produce multiple shorts a day.
