Ah, prom season. From now until mid May, teens and parents will be busy booking tux fittings and hair and make-up appointments. Among DeKalb, Fulton and Gwinnett counties, 55 high school proms have been planned at venues ranging from Stone Mountain Park to the Georgia Aquarium. But an essential part of the prom night begins before the dance — with dinner reservations.

That means, it’s an important season for Atlanta restaurants, which often make accommodations and special meals for high school guests.

“Prom can feel like a performance with the teens in their best dressed,” said Leonardo Moura, the general manager of Veni Vidi Vici.

“We try to space the groups on the outskirts of the dining room so that our regular diners get a glimpse of the action. It can remind them of their own high school moments.”

We’ve looked around the metro area and picked five restaurants with prom menus. These spots offer group dining atmospheres and stellar photo ops for students who want to make lasting high school memories.
