The production of "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3" has been shelved, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Sources told the Reporter that crew members were dismissed and allowed to look for other jobs.

The Disney and Marvel movie was supposed to be directed by James Gunn and production was scheduled to begin in January or February.

However, Gunn was fired from the franchise's third installment in July over offensive tweets about pedophilia and rape.

"The timeline has been pushed out," a source told the Reporter.

Disney had no comment, according to the Reporter.
