Pippa outshines sister Kate at royal wedding?

Some are saying younger sister Pippa took the spotlight off of bride Kate Middleton in her wedding to Prince William. Let's find out more about Pippa.

According to ravenous royal wedding fans on the Web, Kate Middleton's sister and maid of honor, Pippa, may have outshined the bride -- gasp! Well, if she's going to be the next "it girl," we better get to know her. Here are a few facts about Pippa, according to her surely accurate Wikipedia page.

Pippa -- that's her from behind -- is short for Philippa. She is the middle child of the family, at age 27, between Kate, 29, and brother James, 23. Does this mean she's the wild child of the family? Let's say yes.

Pippa is known to be quite the socialite. In 2008, Tatler magazine named her "the Number 1 Society Singleton," beating out singer James Blunt for the title, among others. Here, she's pictured socializing with a young crowd at Kate and William's wedding.

Pippa, seen here helping sister Kate with her train, has been known to carry the haggis into a pub called the Old Boot Inn during Burns Night each year. OK, let's translate: She serves up sheep organs at a bar annually on a night celebrating poet Robert Burns. Is this an honor in England?

Always the bridesmaid? After Kate and William's engagement was announced , the Daily Mail wrote: "Ironically, family friends of the Middletons say that everyone always thought that the sparkly Pippa rather than the quieter and less glossy Kate would be the one most likely to make a spectacular marriage." The Brits really know how to give a back-handed, neurosis-causing compliment.

Pippa, pictured here at the wedding of Lady Katie Percy and Patrick Valentine in February, is not married but is said to be dating English cricketer Alex Loudon, a close friend of Prince William. Maybe she'll hear wedding bells soon too. And who knows? The newly named Duchess of Cambridge could steal the spotlight back at that wedding.
