With news of Sherri Shepherd and Jenny McCarthy leaving "The View" and Barbara Walter's retirement earlier this month, there are at least three vacancies at "The View" table (Whoopi Goldberg is the last one standing). There are plenty of women that could make a go of it -- check out our picks.

Do we really need two female-centric panel-style shows?" Why not merge the two? We'd love to see Sheryl Underwood, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, Aisha Tyler and Julie Chen join forces with Whoopi for a crossover show. Stranger things have happened.

We'd love to see the "Sister, Sister" twins spar -- and support each other -- at the "View" table. Tamera is set to appear on the upcoming show "The Real," but that's nothing a little poaching can't fix.

Her eponymous talk show only lasted for a year, but we think Sykes has wild potential as a "View" Host -- any comedian who can hold their own at the White House Correspondents Dinner can clearly hold their own at the "View" table.

The raunchy comedian would keep the censors on their toes -- and us laughing.

The stand-up comedian seems like a natural fit -- she's co-hosted "The View" on and off since 2007, although she's been banned a couple of times, most recently for reportedly getting into a fight with then-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck.

The "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star has lived her life in front of the cameras for years and has courted Hollywood stardom with stints on "Glee" and "The New Normal." We'd love to see her spar with other hosts.

You can't say this wouldn't be an interesting choice, though we'd be afraid to see the clashes the outspoken conservative pundit would get into with Whoopi Goldberg and any other liberally-minded "View" hosts.

The "Good Morning America" anchor handles both pop culture and news stories handily.

John McCain's daughter has experience on TV talk shows -- she's been a contributor on MSNBC and has a web-based show, "Raising McCain." She also isn't afraid to go against the grain -- she voted for John Kerry in the 2004 presidential race.

Sure, her daytime talk show was a bust, but we could see Mullally thriving in a group setting -- and we wouldn't argue if her husband Nick Offerman (aka "Parks & Rec's" Ron Swanson) stopped by for guest appearances.

She has a Broadway background, so she could do a little current events song-and-dance routine every now and then. Plus, we miss seeing her on our televisions now that "30 Rock" has come to an end.

O'Donnell's already been around the "View" block, and rumors are flying that she already has one of the spots locked up.

The stand-up comedian's tenure on the Peachtree City-shot "Drop Dead Diva" is coming to an end, and her outspoken personality would fit in nicely at the "View" table.

The "Daily Show" correspondent stays on top of the news and is hilarious to boot -- a winning combination for any "View" host.
