Metro Atlanta’s own Lil Nas X’s hit song appears to keep going down a never-ending road.

“Old Town Road” has blown up the Billboard charts, and now the song is the music that fuels the action-packed “Rambo V: Last Blood” trailer, which hits theaters this fall. The trailer for the fifth installment of Sylvester Stallone’s legendary “Rambo” series dropped Thursday.

In the trailer Billy Ray Cyrus’ vocals singing “Yeah, I’m going to take my horse down to Old Town Road/I’m going to ride until I can’t no more” are juxtaposed with John J. Rambo, played by Stallone, grooming himself and sharpening a knife. “All these years I’ve kept my secrets but the time has come to face my past,”Rambo said in the less than two-minute trailer.

The film’s plot follows Rambo as he travels to Mexico to save a friend’s daughter who has been kidnapped by the Mexican cartel. This will reportedly be Stallone’s last portrayal of the character.

Twitter users were almost as ecstatic about “Old Town Road” serving as the trailer music as they were about the movie itself.

Even the artists behind the song, Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus, expressed a bit of an excitement about the “Old Town Road” and “Rambo” combo.

There were a few social media users not so hot about the song choice for the trailer.

“Rambo V: Last Blood” will be released in theaters on Sept. 20.

In 2022, Georgia Power projected its winter peak electricity demand would grow by about 400 megawatts by 2031. Since then, Georgia has experienced a boom of data centers, which require a large load of electricty to run, and Georgia Power's recent forecast shows peak demand growing by 20 times the 400-megawatt estimate from just three years ago.
