Georgia football fans would love to see fewer visits from Alabama football coach Nick Saban to the Peach State.
The good news is, that might soon be the case. The bad news is, it has nothing to do with Saban's football team playing in the SEC Championship at the Georgia Dome each year.
Saban is set to auction off a Lake Burton home he had built.
"My family and I own another home on the lake, which we have enjoyed for 12 years, so I was excited when this very special lot came available to develop with Jim (Suddes)," Saban said in a statement to the Atlanta Business Chronicle, which first reported the sale. "Lake Burton is our favorite getaway. It's a beautiful, hidden gem where we find great peace and seclusion."
The 9,600-square-foot home was originally listed for $10.95 million according to Concierge Auctions, the firm handling the sale.
The home includes six bedrooms, eight bathrooms, 700 feet of lake frontage and "jaw-dropping 270-degree cascading mountain, lake and sunset views," Concierge Auctions noted in a release about the auction.
There's a boat house with viewing deck, a Cape Cod style stone lighthouse, entertainment deck, pub and billiards room.
The home is set to hit the auction block on June 6 with no reserve.
