New Monopoly cat token debuts

The silver kitty that replaced the iron in the Monopoly game is making its debut in games that are shipped this week.

The iron joins the ranks of other retired pieces, including the cannon and sack of money.

Monopoly lovers chose the cat in an online poll, preferring it to a helicopter, diamond ring, robot or guitar. The cat took a whopping 31 percent of the vote.
