Valentino and Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI) put on the event to honoring L.A. Reid

Antonio "L.A." Reid, three-time Grammy Award-winning American record executive and chairman of The Island Def Jam Music Group. Reid was a co-founder of LaFace Records in Atlanta, which helped establish the city as a major player in hip-hop.

Attendees saved 25 percent on all in-store items with the proceeds going directly to the Barbara Brewton Cameron Youth Organization. The center provides after school tutoring, life skills, and development and mentoring opportunities to young people in Charlotte.
