Just days after pop singer Kesha broke down crying as a judge ruled she could not get out of a contract with a music producer who she claims sexually assaulted her, Taylor Swift quietly donated $250,000 toward the 28-year-old's legal fees.

"In a show of support, Taylor Swift has donated $250,000 to Kesha to help with any of her financial needs during this trying time," a spokesperson for Swift confirmed in a statement released to Rolling Stone Magazine Sunday.

Swift is the latest star to come out in support of Kesha Rose Sebert, who was denied an injunction that would have kept her from completing her recording contract with Kemosabe Records and producer Lukasz Gottwald, also known as Dr. Luke. Kesha has accused the producer of drugging and raping her.al

"My instinct is to do the commercially reasonable thing," New York Supreme Court Justice Shirley Kornreich said during Friday's court date, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

She highlighted “some vagueness in Kesha's counterclaims and may give her an opportunity to file an amended (complaint),” the entertainment site reported.
