A new book claims that great white sharks are the headbangers of the ocean.

While great white sharks don't have ears, they respond to the "low-frequency pulsing sound" found in heavy metal music. The research is included in the book, "The Mice Who Sing for Sex And Other Weird Tales from the World of Science," according to NME.

An Australian charter boat operator, Matt Waller, discovered that great white sharks are less aggressive and more inquisitive when listening to AC/DC, according to a 2011 ABC interview. Waller found that the sharks particularly responded to "You Shook Me All Night Long."
