Roger Waters, Prince rule at Coachella

Prince, Roger Waters hit the stage at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, heralding his arrival as the much-anticipated headliner of the summer festival in California.

A giant inflatable pig scrawled with the words 'Don't Be Led To the Slaughter' floats over the crowd during Roger Waters' performance, which included playing all of 'Dark Side of the Moon.'

One side of the pig read 'Fear builds walls.' The underside of the pig read 'Obama' with a checked ballot box alongside.

British singer Duffy performs. Other performers were the Raconteurs, My Morning Jacket, Death Cab for Cutie, Kraftwerk, Vampire Weekend, Fatboy Slim, MGMT and Aphex Twin.

British singer Sia was one of the more than 100 bands that played over the weekend.

'You are the coolest place on earth right now!' Prince declared to the tens of thousands of music lovers at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival on Saturday.

AP Entertainment Writer Jake Coyle wrote that 'with some lyrics adjusted, a ripping guitar solo and extended falsetto crooning for a finale, Prince's "Creep" had the crowd slack-jawed.'

His performance, the centerpiece of the three-day festival, was announced only two weeks ago, according to the Associated Press

Prince headlined on the second day of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio, Calif..

One of the big surprises of Prince's concert was his cover of Radiohead's 'Creep.'

He also performed the Beatles' 'Come Together,' urging the audience to sing 'Come together, yeah' over and over.
