In addition to singing, McEntire also has a robust acting career, including appearances in films, on Broadway and her own TV show.

Over her impressive career, McEntire has acquired 35 number one singles, and 28 albums have been certified gold, platinum or multi-platinum in sales by the Recording Industry Association.

McEntire's award-winning records also include 12 American Music Awards for Favorite Country Female Artist, and she's tied with Martina McBride for most Country Music Association Female Vocalist of the Year Awards (four), though McEntire does have the distinction of winning the award 4 times consecutively.

She also is one of only two women in country music history to have attained a number one hit in four different decades, and the only female to achieve solo number ones across four decades.

Reba McEntire holds the record for the most Academy of Country Music Top Female Vocalist Awards (seven).

Kimberly Perry and her two brothers, Neil and Reid, are a popular country trio from Ridgeland, MS. They recently won the CMA "Vocal Group Of The Year" award.

Arkansas is home to Edens Edge, a Country music band composed of Hannah Blaylock (lead vocals), Dean Berner (vocals, guitar, Dobro) and Cherrill Green (vocals, mandolin, banjo, guitar). The band is signed to Big Machine Records, on which Edens Edge released its debut single "Amen" in April 2011.
