Musicians attempt World's Longest Concert

Guinness World Record for the World's Longest Concert by Multiple Artists

The Children's Restoration Network is attempting to break the Guinness World Record for the World's Longest Concert by Multiple Artists -- 14 days, to be exact, with 343 hours of non-stop music. One member from each band signs this commemorative guitar and t-shirt.

Walter Bland's "Climate Change" band had the stage at 10:30 am, playing to a small crowd. (l to r) Brady Speller, Joel Powell, and Josh Maker. Musicians have been performing around the clock at the Red Rabbit Pizza Pub in Johns Creek since July 10th.

Bands only have 30 seconds between songs, per world record rule. Volunteers have been timing the songs to ensure there is no more than 30 seconds between songs, and standby musicians ready to step in if there are any snafu's.

Witnesses and bands are scheduled around the clock. As of Monday morning, they had 5 days, and 14 hours to go to set the record. If all goes well, they'll break the record at 7:00 PM on Saturday July 24th.

Volunteer Winanne Sutherland helps keeps things running. The organizers want to raise awareness of the plight of homeless children in metro-Atlanta and raise funds for their 16th Annual Back 2 School Campaign for metro-Atlanta's homeless children.

Witnesses Rabekah and Kristen Hansen timed and logged every song. Witnesses rotate around the clock.

Singer Pearson Perry played to a small crowd at 11am.
