Music legend Bo Diddley dies
Photos of Bo Diddley, the rock pioneer who died on June 2, 2008. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee helped usher in rock and roll in the 1950s. He was considered a founding father of rock and blues, but relatively speaking didn't receive the same recognition, fame and money that some of contemporaries did. Diddley had heart failure, after suffering a heart attack in August 2007, just three months after suffering a stroke.

Rock pioneer Bo Diddley died June 2, 2008 at age 79. A spokeswoman said the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee died from heart failure in Florida. He had had a heart attack in August 2007, just 3 months after having a stroke.
