The lineup for Lollpalooza -- the seminal outdoor concert started 20 years ago by Porno for Pyros founder Perry Ferrel -- was announced today. Here are some of the highlights: MUSE -- The English prog rock band are known for their intensely theatrical live shows, and they're veterans on the outdoor festival circuit. We're hoping that lead singer Matthew Bellamy gives a shout out to his bun-in-the-oven with actress Kate Hudson.

EMINEM -- The Lollapalooza headliner took an extended break from recording and touring before coming back with the album "Relapse" in 2009. It's been awhile since Em has said something controversial on stage, but maybe Lollapalooza will mark his comeback to controversy.

FOO FIGHTERS -- Dave Grohl & Co. have come a long way from their days as Mentos commercials spoofers. Their seventh album, "Wasting Light," was released in April 2011.

A PERFECT CIRCLE -- Like successful musical side projects? Tool frontman Maynard James Keenan formed A Perfect Circle with guitarist Billy Howerdel in 1999. The band went on hiatus in 2004 and re-emerged in late 2010. Expect to hear new songs for a potential future record.

CEE LO GREEN -- If you've managed to get the Atlanta native's ubiquitous hit "Fu** You" out of your head, congratulations. Expect the earworm of a song to reinsert itself promptly after Green's performance.

COLDPLAY -- Frontman -- and Mr. Gwyneth Paltrow -- Chris Martin once said his group could lay claim to the Best Band in the World mantle. Whether or not you agree, there's no arguing with their album sales figures -- more than 50 million sold worldwide.

BLACK LIPS -- The Atlantans describe themselves as a "flower-punk" band. We're not sure exactly what that means, but we do know when they take the stage, there's no telling what might happen. Nudity, fireworks and flaming guitars aren't out of the question.

MY MORNING JACKET -- The Louisville natives are touring behind their new album, "Circuital," which will be released in May 2011. Old school MMJ fans will likely be pleased. "I hate the phrase 'going back to our roots', but for this record ... it just felt a lot like it did when we were first starting out," frontman Jim James said.

THE CARS -- Every big outdoor festival needs a notable reunion band, and The Cars -- pardon the pun -- are just what we needed. Lead singer Ric Ocasek and the rest of the boys are in the middle of recording their first album in 24 years, so expect to hear some new material mixed in with the classics.

WEEN -- The jam experimental alt-rockers have been at it since 1984, and while their album sales might not be jaw-dropping, their devoted fanbase keeps them on the road and in the studio. If you don't know them well, at the very least you've likely nodded along to the quirky "Voodoo Lady."

DEADMAU5 -- The house/electro producer is actually Joel Zimmerman, but let's face it, that name doesn't quite fit an act that incorporates giant mouse heads, dramatic lighting and passionate fans.

BRIGHT EYES -- Conor Oberst essentially put the Omaha music scene on the map with his consistent lo-fi indie rock. Break out the hankies for this one -- you know you're gonna tear up.

MANCHESTER ORCHESTRA -- The Atlanta indie rock outfit isn't quite a Christian band, but that doesn't mean there isn't a touch of God in their music. Lead singer Andy Hull is the son and grandson of ministers.

NAS AND DAMIAN "JR. GONG" MARLEY -- The rapper and the reggae artist joined forces on the 2010 album "Distant Relatives."

DEFTONES -- Alt metal fans have kept Deftones one of the top bands in the genre. Lead singer Chino Moreno and the rest of the crew will likely push tunes from their most recent album, "Diamond Eyes."
