One of the biggest Broadway musicals paid tribute to Prince at the end of the show's performances Thursday night.
"Hamilton's" creator posted to social media shortly after news of the musician's death, saying that he was "mourning with you."
Lin-Manuel Miranda then told his followers to listen to Prince's music to help cope.
The cast of "Hamilton," dressed in their 18th century costumes, danced to "Let's Go Crazy," to honor the man and musician who inspired them before departing the stage.
The Huffington Post reported that the show's musical director, Alex Lacamoire ,worked all day on the tribute.
The cast of "The Color Purple" also paid tribute Thursday night with a gospel-like rendition of "Purple Rain."
