You may not know his name, but you know the music he performed.
Andy White was one of the drummers who recorded with the Beatles around the same time Ringo Starr joined the legendary band, the BBC reported.
White, who was 85, passed away in New Jersey following a stroke, the BBC reported.
White played drums for the Beatles on a 1962 recording of the single version of "Love Me Do" and the B-side, "P.S. I Love You."
Starr played tambourine on the version on which White performed.
He also is believed to have played on the album version of "Please Please Me."
Not only did White join the Beatles in the studio, he also played drums on Lulu's cover of "Shout" and Tom Jones' "It's Not Unusual."
White didn't get royalties for the songs on which he played with the Fab Four. He was paid a one-time salary of 5 pounds, the BBC reported.
