Jane's Addiction reunites for NME Awards

The awards handed out in Los Angeles.

THE ORIGINAL JANE'S ADDICTION reunited for the first time in 17 years at the NME Awards in Los Angeles. The NME Awards are given out by New Musical Express magazine, a U.K. music publication, and Jane's Addiction received the "Godlike Genius Award." FARRELL AND his bandmates apparently abandoned their past arguments to perform at NME's first U.S. awards program (they've been held in the U.K. since the 1950s).

SINCE THE BAND'S breakup, Navarro (left) has played with the Red Hot Chili Peppers, the Panic Channel and Camp Freddy. Farrell formed a band called Perry Farrell's Satellite Party.

ONE THING hasn't changed -- Farrell is still every bit the showman.

BASSIST ERIC AVERY (far right) was a past holdout in Jane's Addiction reunions, telling Reuters he thought reunions were a way to make a quick buck. His bandmates, Navarro, Stephen Perkins and Farrell, had already played together with various replacements for Avery.

MICK JONES of Carbon/Silicon performs. He received NME's "Inspiration" Award. Jones was once a member of the Clash and Big Audio Dynamite.

ACTRESS SIENNA MILLER gets the spotlight. She presented the award to Mick Jones.

ALICE COOPER takes the stage with an unidentified musician. Is it just us, or did Cooper arrange to have the show in a coffin?

EVAN DANDO of the Lemonheads performs for the crowd.

AUSTRALIAN COMEDIAN Jim Jeffries hosts the NME event.

THE ENTERTAINER known as "Har Mar Superstar" (born Sean Tillmann) entertains the audience.

ACTOR DANNY MASTERSON ("That '70s Show") takes the mic. By the way, we couldn't show you the NME statuette, which depicts an impolite gesture that you may have used in Atlanta traffic.

KELLY OSBOURNE arrives at the NME event. She's a presence at the U.K. ceremony, too.

PETE WENTZ of Fall Out Boy pauses for the camera. He was a presenter.

JANE'S ADDICTION (Avery, Perkins, Farrell and Navarro) arrive.
