Jack Johnson rocks Lakewood

Jack Johnson staged a sold-out show at Lakewood Amphitheatre on Wednesday, with openers Rogue Wave and Neil Halstead.

In its review of "Sleep Through the Static", Johnson's most recent CD, Rolling Stone said, "his new songs express the contemporary fears and realities that hit home even in his idyllic Hawaiian paradise".

Rolling Stone magazine describes Johnson as "rock's mellow superstar".

Johnson, 32, is an avid surfer and rising independent filmmaker who resides in Santa Barbara, Calif.

According to Rolling Stone, Johnson has been married eight years to his wife Kim and they have two young sons.

Rolling Stone magazine gave Johnson's latest CD, "Sleep Through the Static", three out of a possible five stars in its review.
