The Foo Fighters performed an impromptu and unrehearsed cover of the Vaseline track "Molly's Lips" last night in Edinburgh - the Vaselines' own hometown.

It's the first time the band has ever performed the song, even though Dave Grohl famously performed it with Kurt Cobain and Nirvana in 1991.

According to Spin.com, Pat Smear started playing the song's riff, and the rest of the band joined in, performing the entire track.
