HBO is not airing the new, authorized Kurt Cobain documentary, "Montage of Heck," until May 4th, but the trailer is already generating a lot of buzz on social media.

The trailer combines family photos, home movies and animation into the critically-acclaimed documentary of the late Nirvana frontman by director Brett Morgen.

Rolling Stone reports that a companion book will also be released, featuring items from Cobain's personal archive. According to Morgen, the film's soundtrack will include a previously-unheard, 12-minute acoustic track from Cobain.
