45th annual Country Music Awards

Stars arrive, take the stage for the 45th Annual CMA Awards in Nashville, Tenn.

Country music paid tribute to its stars Wednesday in Nashville, Tenn., during the 45th annual CMA Awards.

Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley played hosts - with a little help from the "Muppets" Miss Piggy - to the 45th annual CMA Awards.

A shocked Taylor Swift accepts the entertainer of the year award.

Jason Aldean performs "Tattoos On This Town. " Aldean's "My Kind of Party," took album of the year honors.

The Band Perry performs "All Your Life." The group won for new artist. Their hit single "If I Die Young" picked up single and song of the year honors.

Blake Shelton accepted the award for male vocalist of the year from actress Reese Witherspoon (left).

Miranda Lambert matched her husband, Black Shelton, winning the award for female vocalist of the year.

Sugarland scored again for country duo, the fifth consecutive win for the group.

Glen Campbell and his wife, Kim, take the stage for tribute. Campbell, the legendary Arkansas-born singer and guitarist, announced in June that he has Alzheimer's disease.

Keith Urban, Brad Paisley and Vince Gill took turns paying tribute to Glen Campbell with renditions of "By the Time I Get to Phoenix, "Wichita Lineman" and "Galveston."

Lady Antebellum collected its third straight win as vocal group of the year.
