MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, Sept. 13, 2009 in New York

Janet Jackson kicked off the VMA's with a dancing tribute to her brother Michael Jackson.

At one point during Janet Jackson's performance, she was dancing in sync with her brother Michael Jackson as he appeared on a video screen.

An all-star tribute to Michael Jackson was a highlight of MTV's Video Music Awards Show on Sunday.

Singer Kanye West disrupts the show by taking the microphone from singer Taylor Swift as she accepts the "Best Female Video" award. Kanye was later booted from the show for the action in which he said that Beyonce should have earned the honor.

He shouted the Beyonce had "the best video of all time" then walked off the stage.

Eminem accepts the "Best Hip Hop Video" award.

Beyonce performs and also won Video of the year.

All eyes were on stage during Beyonce's performance during the VMA's on Sunday night.

Beyonce won "Video of the Year" award. She later roicked the house with a performance of "Single Ladies."

Rapper Jay-Z closed out the show,walking straight from his limo around 11 pm to the stage to perform with Alicia Keys.

Jay-Z and Alicia Keys closed out the show with an ode to New York, "Empire of the Big Mind."
