Mary Elizabeth Winstead stars in "The Thing," a prequel to John Carpenter's 1982 film of the same name. Winstead plays Dr. Kate Lloyd, a pathologist who is brought into help a Norwegian scientific team that has found a frozen creature from another planet. The team recovers the creature from the ice, but the alien must be stopped from imitating other life forms and killing humans.
