Atlanta’s most prolific entertainment mogul teamed up with reality television’s most ubiquitous star Saturday night. A galaxy of stars turned out to join Tyler Perry for the red-carpet screening of “Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor,” most notably Kim Kardashian.

Fans crowded the parking lot outside the AMC Parkway Pointe theater and cheered from the time early red arrivals including John Schneider arrived until the end, when Kardashian showed up.

The star of numerous shows about her family in varying combinations, Kardashian swept down the red carpet in a long, black beaded gown. She made a beeline for an interview with E! - the channel that airs the assorted Kardashian projects, but didn’t speak to local reporters.

Perry, known for his slew of television shows, “Madea” movies and plays and a role as Alex Cross in last year’s thriller by that name, said the secret to his successful juggling act is simple.

“I sleep very little. I work very hard.”

He made sure to stress his appreciation for Georgia’s film-friendly tax policies, which have spurred a steady surge of big and small-screen projects.

“The tax credit is helping all this production,” he said. “I love what I do. I love this town.”

Cast members from the movie joined such personages as “Real Housewives” NeNe Leakes, Cynthia Bailey and Kandi Burruss.

Leakes, who had gone on to nab roles in a number of scripted shows including “Glee,” said Perry hadn’t called to cast her - yet.

“He knows I’m an actress,” she said with a chuckle, as Perry was near her on the red carpet at the time.

Kardashian is no stranger to Atlanta. In addition to her role in “Temptation” she has filmed guest roles for “Drop Dead Diva,” the Lifetime series that shoots in Peachtree City. During those visits Kardashian linked up with another reality show personality turned actress, NeNe Leakes.

Kardashian, who is still technically married to NBA player Kris Humphries, is expecting a baby with rapper Kanye West. It’s unclear if she’ll still officially be Humphries’ wife when West’s child arrives. The latest tangle in her messy divorce proceedings: allegations that key moments in their romance, including Humphries’ proposal, were scripted for the cameras.

In a bit of timing a reality star producer couldn’t have scripted better, Kardashian arrived in Atlanta to film her role in Perry’s movie, known then simply as “The Marriage Counselor,” shortly after announcing she and Humprhries were splitting up after 72 days. Although Kardashian’s role in the film isn’t a leading one, it managed to grab headlines. Perry responded to a surge of fans outraged that he had cast her with a message on his web site.

“She literally has millions of young people following her,” Perry said at the time. “I thought and still do think, that it would be very responsible of her to be a part of this film. To have the young people that look up to her, see her in a film that is about, what happens in life when you make the wrong choices. Why wouldn’t Kim Kardashian be invited into a film about faith, forgiveness and the healing power of God? What is wrong with that?”
