Summer brings lots of free outdoor fun, and this month marks the start of outdoor summer movie season.
In most cases, the screenings begin at dusk (about 8 p.m.), but there may also be pre-movie events such as musical performances and family fun.
Some venues allow a picnic, but may have restrictions on alcohol and the types of containers allowed. Some events do not allow outdoor food other than bottled water. Blankets are encouraged, but lawn chairs may or may not be allowed.
All movies are subject to change, so be sure to check the event websites and social media for up-to-date information including cancellations and rescheduling due to weather. For a more comprehensive list of outdoor movie events in the metro area, visit AJC.com/go/bargain.
