Miss Georgia 2014 crowned

Miss Georgia and the Miss Georgia Outstanding Teen were crowned at RiverCenter in Columbus.

Georgia Tech senior Maggie Bridges was crowned Miss Georgia 2014 at a pageant in Columbus.

Maggie Bridges, a 21-year-old from Brinson who is majoring in business administration, will go on to compete in the Miss America pageant.

Maggie Bridges qualified for the pageant as Miss Capital City. She sang for the talent portion of the competition and her platform was “Impacting others through volunteerism,” according to the pageant’s website. The pageant was held June 18-21, 2014 at RiverCenter in Columbus, Ga.
