A wax figure of U.S. First Lady Michelle Obama joins that of her husband, President Barack Obama, at Madame Tussauds in London, Tuesday, Jan 19, 2010.

The addition of the Michelle Obama wax figure was timed to coincide with the first anniversary of Barack Obama's inauguration.

The wax first couple stand in a replica of the Oval Office.

President Barack Obama's figure was unveiled at Madame Tussauds in London in March 2009 next to a waxwork creation of Britain's Queen Elizabeth. At the time, Obama was arriving in Britain to attend the G20 summit.

The First Lady will be in residence at Madam Tussauds in London until mid-April, when the figure will make its way to its permanent home, Madame Tussauds' new attraction opening in Bangkok, Thailand, this summer.

Back in 2008 when Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton were both senators, their likenesses stood together in Madame Tussauds Washington museum.

A wax likeness of U.S. President George W. Bush is in Madam Tussaud's Hong Kong museum. In this 2003 photo, it gets finishing touches from studio supervisor Kitty Tang.
