Marilyn Monroe, born 88 years ago

One of the most famous women in the world was born on June 1, 1926.

Norma Jeane Mortenson - later known as Marilyn Monroe - was born in Los Angeles, CA.

She died at the age of 36 from an apparent drug overdose. She would have been 88.
