Ludacris attends GSU screening of 'Max Payne'

Atlanta rapper and actor Chris 'Ludacris' Bridges attended a screening of his new movie 'Max Payne' at Georgia State University's Rialto Theater in downtown Atlanta. Ludacris stars with Mark Wahlberg.

Atlanta's Chris "Ludacris" Bridges is greeted by Georgia State University cheerleaders as he arrives at the Rialto Center for the Arts. The rapper, actor and former GSU student was at the downtown theater for a special screening of his new action thriller, "Max Payne."

Ludacris is co-star in "Max Payne" with Mark Wahlberg. The movie is scheduled to open Oct. 17. Ludacris poses in front of a large wall poster that makes no mistake about what the name of the movie is.

Ludacris also helped unveil a large Max Payne-themed work of art by local graffiti artist, Totem. Bridges takes a moment to pose in front of the work in which his movie character appears.

Ludacris poses with graffiti artist Totem, left. Ludacris is portrayed in the artwork on the far left, while Mark Wahlberg is featured in the middle of the work. Ludacris also is scheduled to perform this weekend at the BET Hip-Hop Awards at the Atlanta Civic Center.

Before the screening of 'Max Payne,' Ludacris answered media questions as he made his way along the red carpet. Ludacris rose to prominence as an actor with his role as a good-natured carjacker in 'Crash,' which won an Oscar for best picture in 2006.
