Beyonce

Mrs. Carter is on a tear, with a sold-out tour complete with see-through outfits and a cauldron of tunes that include a nod to Destiny’s Child (“Survivor”) and Whitney Houston (“I Will Always Love You”) and her parade of solo hits (“Crazy in Love,” “Single Ladies”). As another example of her continued girl power message, Beyonce is touring with an all-female band.

8 p.m. July 12. Sold out. Gwinnett Arena, 6400 Sugarloaf Parkway, Duluth. 1-800-745-3000.

The Village People

Yes, you will hear “YMCA,” “In the Navy,” “Macho Man” and “Go West.” After 36 years, the disco-pop group that defines camp is still popping up in pop culture (mostly commercials) and touring the world. Their iconic outfits will be on full display, too. Felipe Rose (the Native American), Alexander Briley (military man) and David Hodo (construction worker) are originals, while Ray Simpson (cop) and Jeff Olson (cowboy) have been with the group since 1980 and Eric Anzalone (biker) since 1995.

8 p.m. July 12. $40.50-$57. Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre, 2800 Cobb Galleria Parkway, Atlanta. 1-800-745-3000.

Lil Wayne and T.I.

With Tyga and G-Easy. The king of New Orleans and the king of Atlanta share a bill dubbed America’s Most Wanted that is one of the beefiest hip-hop offerings of the summer. The Lakewood stop is the third date on the tour (2 Chainz is part of the bill in other cities but is not performing here, likely because he just played at the Hot 107.9 Birthday Bash), so the crew will still be fresh. Let’s hope Wayne’s health holds up because this tour is a tough one — 40 dates through early September.

7 p.m. July 12. $34-$155. Aaron’s Amphitheatre at Lakewood, 2002 Lakewood Way, Atlanta. 1-800-745-3000.

Luke Bryan

With Thompson Square and Florida Georgia Line. What fortuitous timing that Leesburg native Bryan is not only enjoying a career pinnacle, but that he snagged the red-hot FGL (“Cruise”) as openers. Bryan’s fourth studio album, “Crash My Party,” arrives Aug. 13, so expect to hear at least the title track performed live.

7 p.m. July 14. Sold out. Aaron’s Amphitheatre at Lakewood, 2002 Lakewood Way, Atlanta. 1-800-745-3000.

Swing Out Sister

It’s been 25 years since the “Breakout” of this jazz-pop duo from Manchester, England, and Andy Connell and Corinne Drewery are on their biggest U.S. tour in years (they’ve remained huge in Japan). While most fans will clamor to hear the aforementioned U.S. breakthrough hit, don’t forget their luscious cover of Barbara Acklin’s “Am I the Same Girl,” with its sassy elements of Young-Holt Unlimited’s instrumental, “Soulful Strut.”

8 p.m. July 16. $35. Variety Playhouse, 1099 Euclid Ave. N.E., Atlanta. 404-524-7354.

Kurt Vile & the Violaters

With Swirlies. Vile (yes, that’s his real name) is a Philly-reared guitarist who grew up under the influence of Beck, Pavement, Tom Petty and Neil Young. After successfully navigating the indie route with a few self-distributed albums in the mid-’90s, the Violators joined the fun for the 2009 EP “The Hunchback.” Vile is recognized for his notable guitar skills, which are showcased on the recently released “Wakin on a Pretty Daze.”

9 p.m. July 16. $15. Terminal West, 887 W. Marietta St. N.W., Atlanta. 404-876-5566.

Phish

The perennial jammers kicked off their summer tour July 3 in Maine and included a visit to Canada for the first time in 13 years. They're no strangers to Atlanta — last summer they played Lakewood, and frontman Trey Anastasio visited Symphony Hall for a solo show in February. Don't forget, a ticket to the show also nabs you a free MP3 download of that night's concert (recorded from the soundboard) through www.livephish.com.

7:30 p.m. July 16 and 17. $45-$60. Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore Park, 2200 Encore Parkway, Alpharetta. 1-800-745-3000.

Marilyn Manson

With Picture Me Broken. Manson is no longer the parental menace of the ’90s (most figured out that he is actually a whip-smart guy whose job involves portraying himself as a shock rocker), but you can count on him to unleash an evening of electro-metal-industrial-rock. Hopefully, more of it will come from the “Antichrist Superstar” and “Mechanical Animals” era than the noise-fest that was last year’s “Born Villain.”

8 p.m. July 17. $42.50. The Tabernacle, 152 Luckie St., Atlanta. 1-800-745-3000.

Jill Scott

With Raheem Devaughn. It wouldn’t feel like summer at Chastain Park Amphitheatre without an appearance from Scott. Freshly removed from a fiery set at the Essence Festival, Scott is leading her band through her repertoire of funky and sexy numbers, including songs such as “The Way,” from her debut album, and “A Long Walk.”

8 p.m. July 18. $45.25-$121.75. Chastain Park Amphitheatre, 4469 Stella Drive N.W., Atlanta. 1-800-745-3000.
