FRIDAY

Shaky Knees Music Festival

With the National, Modest Mouse, Alabama Shakes, the Replacements, Violent Femmes, Spoon, the Gaslight Anthem, Conor Oberst, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros and more. Let’s all start doing the anti-rain dance now, though with a move from Masquerade Park to Atlantic Station in its second year — not to mention a wowza lineup of more than 50 indie rock artists — not even the torrential downpour that greeted last year’s event could quell the excitement around this year’s fest.

Noon Friday-Sunday. $84-$575. Atlantic Station (lower lots), 1380 Atlantic Drive N.W., Atlanta. Box office is located at 1300 Market St. in Atlantic Station, next to Dillard’s. 1-800-745-3000.

Ledisi

The New Orleans-reared R&B-soul songstress released her album “The Truth” in March and is on her third headlining tour. At a recent stop in D.C., she thrilled fans when she waded through the audience and shared stories about her struggle to succeed in the music industry. The musical selections bounced from new material (“Like This”) to past R&B chart favorites “In the Morning” and “Goin’ Thru Changes.”

With Robert Glasper Experiment. 8 p.m. Friday. $40-$50. Chastain Park Amphitheatre, 4469 Stella Drive N.W., Atlanta. 1-800-745-3000.

SATURDAY

Megan Hilty

Let’s hope the former “Smash” star takes her vitamins Saturday since she’ll be pulling double duty in Atlanta. First, she’ll hit Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre for an 8 p.m. show. Then, after she’s unleashed those mighty pipes (hopefully on such fan faves as “Popular” from “Wicked” and Gershwin’s “Someone to Watch Over Me”), she’ll venture to Midtown to headline the Alliance Theatre’s sixth annual A Tony Evening benefit. Don’t worry, she’ll have plenty of time to perform the first show since the great Francine Reed is opening the Tony gala, which officially starts at 7 p.m.

8 p.m. Saturday. $39-$75. Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre, 2800 Cobb Galleria Parkway, Atlanta. 1-800-745-3000. The Cobb show will be followed by a performance at the Alliance Theatre’s A Tony Evening benefit. $350 (includes dinner, silent and live auctions, and performance). W Hotel-Midtown, 188 14th St. N.E., Atlanta. 404-733-5000.

Michael Jackson: The Immortal Tour by Cirque du Soleil

It’s been almost two years since this dizzying spectacle of dance, acrobatics and Jackson’s songbook played a series of shows at Philips Arena. Don’t expect it to be any less visually dazzling. And, this time around, Atlanta native J Marie is handling backup vocal duties.

8 p.m. Saturday and 5 p.m. Sunday. $53-$153. Gwinnett Arena, 6400 Sugarloaf Parkway, Duluth. 1-888-929-7849.

Lisa Kelly

Last year, the comely former member of Celtic Woman opened the Lisa Kelly Voice Academy in Peachtree City, where she and her family make their home. Now, Kelly is making a solo splash with the first show of the season at the Fred. She’ll be joined by Celtic Woman pal Chloe Agnew, who has embarked on a solo career as well, and Paul Byrom of Celtic Thunder. Also joining in the spirited fun will be husband Scott Porter (performing a Celtic dance solo), young Irish dancers and some of the students from Kelly’s academy.

7:30 p.m. Saturday. $35-$50. Frederick Brown Jr. Amphitheater, 201 McIntosh Trail, Peachtree City. 877-725-8849.

THURSDAY

Tegan and Sara

With Lucius and the Courtneys. After more than a decade of toiling quietly and steadily, the indie rocking Canadian twin sisters started to build mainstream momentum several years ago with their album “The Con.” But it was 2012’s platinum-selling single, “Closer,” that nabbed them their first No. 1 hit — amusingly enough, on the dance chart.

8 p.m. Thursday. $36-$41. Buckhead Theatre, 3110 Roswell Road, Atlanta. 1-800-745-3000.

Jason Aldean

With Florida Georgia Line and Tyler Farr. It’s stunning, really, how Aldean’s career has skyrocketed. Just when you thought selling out UGA’s Sanford Stadium last year would be the Macon native’s home state highlight, here he comes with three dates at Lakewood. Having primo bro-country representatives Florida Georgia Line — of the ubiquitous “Cruise” — on the bill should sell a few tickets as well.

7 p.m. May 15-17. $25.25-$55.25. Aaron’s Amphitheatre at Lakewood, 2002 Lakewood Way, Atlanta. 1-800-745-3000.
