Two of the most talked-about players before the NFL Draft were featured on social media during the first round of the draft.
Rapper Lil Wayne posted pictures of both Shane Ray and Randy Gregory, who were cited for marijuana possession and failing a drug test, respectively, on his Instagram account Thursday night. Seen below, the rapper posts a picture of Missouri defensive linebacker Ray saying, "Shane Ray Truk'd up for da draft!"
"Truk'd up" is a nod to Lil Wayne's clothing line, Trukfit.
Ray was cited for possession of marijuana earlier this week. He was believed to be a top-10 pick before the arrest. The Denver Broncos took Ray with the 22nd pick after trading the Detroit Lions for the pick.
Before Lil Wayne, whose real name is Dwayne Carter Jr., posted the picture of Ray, he posted one of Randy Gregory, who failed a drug test for marijuana at the NFL Combine. The caption read, "Randy Gregory Truk'd up for da draft!" Gregory was also projected to be a top-10 pick before the blunder. He did not get selected in Thursday night's first round.
The NFL Draft, which takes place in Chicago this year, continues Friday night and concludes on Saturday.
