Jim Carrey posts touching tribute to former girlfriend on day of her funeral

Jim Carrey traveled to Ireland to attend the funeral of his former girlfriend, Cathriona White.

White, 30, was found dead inside her Los Angeles home on Sept. 28. The cause of death has not been officially announced, but it is believed to be suicide, with pill bottles and suicide notes reportedly found near her body.

People reports that Carrey served as a pallbearer at the funeral, and was visibly upset. He has been assisting White's family with funeral arrangements.

According to People, Carrey and White had been romantically linked for the last three years, though she was married to another man.

Saturday morning, he posted a photo depicting himself and White in silhouette, with the caption, “Love cannot be lost.”
