Inked with their exes: Regrettable celeb tattoos

These celebrities should have thought twice before getting inked with their lover's name or face.

Kat Von D recently spoke out to say she has "no regrets" over a large tattoo on her rib cage depicting ex-fiance Jesse James in a fifth grade school portrait. The tattoo artist and tabloid celebrity reveals the tattoo to James -- when they were still together -- in the season premiere of "Miami Ink," airing July 28 on TLC. Of course, Von D isn't the only celebrity with embarrassing ink of an ex.

Johnny Depp may have the most famous regrettable ex tattoo. In 1990 the hot, young actor became engaged to Winona Ryder, another up-and-comer at the time. To commemorate his love for Ryder, Depp had "Winona Forever" emblazoned on his bicep. But forever didn't last long, as the relationship soon fizzled out and the tattoo was altered to read "Wino Forever." Two decades later, Depp has three more names on his body, but this time they are his two children and dear old mom. Now that's forever.

Pre-Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie did a lot of questionable things -- one of which was having then-husband Billy Bob Thornton's name tattooed in gothic script on her bicep. Sure, with all the talk among the two about their voracious sex life, their intense PDA-ing and the vials of each other's blood around their necks, everyone thought that relationship would last forever -- but it didn't. Shocker. The name has since been removed.

Before the redneck revival brought on by the Blue Collar Comedy Tour, there was working class-Hollywood couple Roseanne Barr and Tom Arnold. The two married in 1990 but had a tumultuous relationship that ended in a nasty divorce in 1994 -- which is why it was probably not a good idea for Arnold to get a portrait of Barr on his chest. FYI: Roseanne also got "Property of Tom Arnold" inked on her butt, but we chose not to show that. You're welcome.

In the mid-90s "Baywatch" babe Pamela Anderson married Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee just 96 hours after meeting him. To mark the nuptials Pam had "Tommy" tattooed on her ring finger, and Tommy had "Pamela" inked on his penis -- perhaps the worst tattoo decision in history.

"Desperate Housewives" star Eva Longoria thought she found her Prince Charming when she met San Antonia Spurs basketball player Tony Parker. Later that prince turned into a frog, and her choice to have "NINE" -- Parker's jersey number -- tattooed on her neck proved to be a very poor choice. Oh, and that's not all! Both Longoria and Parker had their wedding date tattooed on their bodies -- she on her wrist, and he on his ring finger.

The ring finger tat seems to be a popular one among celebrities with poor judgement. And who has worst judgement than Levi Johnston?! The almost-son-in-law to Sarah Palin had "Bristol" tattooed on his ring finger after he and Bristol Palin conceived a child together. Though the tattooed ring finger would imply that they married, the couple got engaged and broke up twice.

Do you remember when Paris Hilton dated Backstreet Boy Nick Carter? The couple stayed together seven months, but broke up just three weeks after Nick had "Paris" tattooed on his wrist. The singer has since had the body art covered up by a skull and crossbones -- pretty punk rock for a 31-year-old man in a boy band.

Charlie Sheen has done a good job of showing the world how impulsive he is this year, so it may come as no surprise that the actor and ex-wife Denise Richards had each other's names tattooed on their bodies to mark their 2002 marriage. Sheen removed the "Denise" tattoo from his wrist two days after she filed for divorce, and Richards had "Charlie" on her ankle turned into a fairy in 2008.

Hindsight is surely 20/20 for Marc Anthony, as the singer deals with his divorce from Jennifer Lopez while looking down at his "Jennifer" tattoo on his wrist. Anthony should have known better, though. His previous ex-wife, Dayanara Torres, had to remove his name from her stomach after their divorce.
