R&B singer and guitarist C West will perform Thursday at the Alpharetta Food Truck Alley on from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m

C West’s music often focuses on leading a positive life. The 20-year-old performer released his spiritual love song, “Breaks Your Heart” earlier this year and is currently promoting his Top 40 radio single, “Focus.”

The event takes place at 1-37 Old Roswell Street with rotating food trucks, music stages and children's activities. Proceeds benefit Serv International's food programs in Cambodia and Kenya .

The  Buffalo, N.Y. native was raised in the church but was influenced by Maxwell, Prince and Michael Jackson. While a student at Villa Maria College, he won a “Discovered” singing contest sponsored by Marquis Boone who manages the careers of artists, Casey J and Bri (Briana Babineaux).

His inaugural album, “Hide and Seek” (Marquis Boone/ Tyscot) is scheduled to release later this year.
