Nothing special to do for Labor Day?

Give yourself and your friends a big laugh by playing the hottest video game...of the 1970s. Yes, they had such things back then.

The game was called Pong. It was kind of like tennis. A ball -- in this case, a little rectangle or square -- is hit back and forth by players operating paddles. People found it fun and challenging; maybe hand-eye coordination wasn't as advanced then as it is now.

According to Wikipedia, Pong was created by a company called Atari Inc. and released in 1972. Believe it or not, this established the video game industry.

Pong can still be played today on this new thing called the Internet. Try it here.

Still not sure you want to do it? This video will give you an idea of what it looked like.
