Less than a week after Atlanta rapper Future posted an Instagram story featuring his children swimming in cash, he is being criticized again for extravagance.
On Sunday, Future gave his namesake a Rolex for the boy’s fifth birthday, and Twitter again questioned his the performer’s parenting skills and compared him to the boy’s stepfather. Baby Future’s mother is singer Ciara, who is married to Seattle Seahawk Russell Wilson.

Future bought "Baby Future" a "Rolex" for his birthday. Future is the typical Rapper. He dont spend no time with his son or teach him anything but he have him walking around with a Rolex at the age of 5 years old

Did he really by a 5 yr old a Rolex? That child probably only wanted Elmo shoes. Then again, Future would need to spend time with his son to know what gift he'd like instead of leaving him with grandma for his scheduled visits. Is he on kid 6/7? I wonder if he knows their names?

Many fans defended Future, however, and called all those who criticized the rapper.

It’s clear that Russ and Future have substantially different ways of communicating and I’m Type sick of people acting as if future is a bad father because he gave his baby a Rolex. Parents do like giving their children everything they didn’t have. Let that baby have both.

Y’all so 2 faced I swear DJ Khalid bought his 1 year old son a Rolex y’all praise him , but future gets his son one and he a useless father 🤔 .. pic.twitter.com/f811GTHNRp

Now if Russel Wilson had gotten baby future that Rolex y'all would've developed some kind of reasoning as to why future was too broke to get his son a rolex

Y’all gotta leave future alone bruh. Talking about 5 year olds don’t care about no Rolex. My 5 year old wants everything I HAVE. She wears all my jewelry. Asks for make up and all kinda shit. Y’all gotta stfu sometimes.
