BUFORD
Tin Lizzy’s Cantina at Mall of Georgia
The Atlanta-based chain, specializing in what they call “FlexMex,” goes way outside of the Perimeter with the opening of its latest restaurant and watering hole. Tucked next to P.F. Chang’s, Tin Lizzy’s offers a menu including an array of tacos, more than 30 beer selections and a mess of margaritas. It may be the cure for what ails tuckered-out holiday shoppers. Guests can put down the shopping bags, take a load off and soak up live music. Its Live at Lunch series offers musical performances from noon to 2 p.m. on Fridays. When the sun goes down, bands take the stage from 6 to 10 p.m. Wednesdays through Sundays. Sports fans looking to take a timeout from pounding the mall’s pavement can grab a table and watch the big game on one of 19 TVs.

PEACHTREE CITY
Grand Menorah Lighting at City Hall Plaza
Candles will definitely be flickering as Chabad of Peachtree City hosts this outdoor menorah lighting. Guests gather at City Hall Plaza on the fifth night of Hanukkah, the Jewish festival of light. When they say grand menorah, they mean it. The creation, built in Peachtree City, stands 9 feet tall. Organizers say they’ll even have a menorah on top of a golf cart, Peachtree City’s signature mode of transportation. Expect live music from a children’s choir, and complimentary snacks and drinks. Doughnuts, coffee and hot chocolate will abound. Interactive activities for kids, from arts and crafts to face painting, will take place. And don’t be surprised to see dreidels spinning and zipping about.
6 p.m. Dec. 1. Free. City Hall Plaza, 151 Willowbend Road, Peachtree City. 678-595-0199, www.chabadsouthside.com.
